The Terminator, specifically the T-800 Model 101, is the iconic cyborg assassin from James Cameron’s Terminator franchise. Originally sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor, the T-800 was reprogrammed in the sequel to become humanity’s protector. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s portrayal created one of cinema’s most memorable characters, and ‘I’ll be back’ became the most quoted movie line of all time.
Before Fame
The T-800 was manufactured by Skynet, an artificial intelligence system that became self-aware and initiated a nuclear war to exterminate humanity. It was designed as an infiltration unit with living tissue over a metal endoskeleton.
