About
Aragorn is the rightful King of Gondor from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, portrayed by Viggo Mortensen in Peter Jackson’s film trilogy. Known by many names including Strider and Elessar, Aragorn is a Ranger of the North who leads the Fellowship of the Ring and ultimately claims his throne. His nobility, swordsmanship, and leadership make him one of fantasy’s greatest heroes.
Before Fame
Aragorn was raised in Rivendell by Elrond after his father Arathorn was killed. His true identity was concealed to protect him from Sauron's servants. He lived as a Ranger, protecting the lands of the North.
