The series and film — spoilers

Allison dies during the third season’s conflict with the Oni. Teen Wolf: The Movie later brings Crystal Reed back as Allison, making her return a major part of the film’s story rather than an unexplained recasting. Watch the television seasons first if you want the emotional context for that return. Paramount’s cast announcement confirms Reed in both the original role and the follow-up film.
