Who is Beast Boy?

DC identifies Garfield Logan as the character’s real name and Doom Patrol #99 (1965) as his first appearance. Beast Boy belongs to the same wider superhero world as Robin, Raven, Starfire and Cyborg, but the way those relationships develop depends on the comic or television version.

Powers and green animal forms

His defining power is transformation into animals. In DC’s character overview, his green colouring remains visible when he changes form. Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! offer animated versions with different storytelling priorities: one is a superhero adventure series, while the other centres on comedy.
