New Normal (2023)

New Normal (2023) is a thriller film directed by Jung Bum-shik. Seemingly ordinary urban encounters develop into unsettling situations in a Korean ensemble thriller. People living alone or moving through everyday routines find that familiar social spaces offer little certainty about strangers’ intentions.

New Normal cast and character roles

Connected stories rather than a single hero

New Normal uses an ensemble and interlocking situations to explore threats hiding in everyday life. The Korean Film Council describes its emphasis as reality-oriented suspense. Festival screenings began in 2022, while the Korean release is listed in 2023, explaining why both years appear in searches. Match Jung Bum-shik and this cast when choosing the film, rather than a different work sharing the phrase New Normal.
