Who dies in It Chapter Two? Main deaths and Losers’ Club survivors
Eddie Kaspbrak and Stanley Uris are the Losers’ Club members who die in It Chapter Two (2019). Other victims include Adrian Mellon, Victoria and Dean, while Henry Bowers and Pennywise also die. The list below contains major spoilers, including the final confrontation.
Stanley Uris and Eddie Kaspbrak
Stanley dies by suicide after Mike contacts him about returning to Derry. His absence becomes a wound the group has to confront. Eddie returns with the others and helps fight It, but is fatally injured during the final battle. Richie’s response gives Eddie’s death an especially intimate emotional weight.
Adrian, Victoria and Dean
Adrian Mellon is attacked in the opening sequence and then killed by Pennywise. Victoria, the girl approached near a baseball game, and Dean, the boy Bill tries to protect, are later child victims. Their deaths establish that the renewed danger is not limited to the returning adults or memories of their childhood.
Henry Bowers, Pennywise and the survivors
Richie kills Henry Bowers after Henry attacks the group. The Losers ultimately defeat Pennywise by stripping away the power of its intimidation and destroying its exposed heart. Bill, Beverly, Ben, Richie and Mike survive the main story. Eddie’s fatal injury means that defeating the monster does not restore the group without loss.
Which adaptation is this?
These events refer to the 2019 film, the sequel to It (2017). Stephen King’s novel and the 1990 television adaptation differ in structure and details. A death list for one version should not automatically be treated as a scene-by-scene guide to another. The film includes violence against children, a homophobic attack and suicide-related material.
